FNARCHITECTS A proposed commission · Dubai

fnarchitects.ae

A simple detail, repeated.

A digital monograph for the practice of Farid J. Noufaily. This page is a working sample: the materials and the light are the ones we intend for his site.

01 · The room

The work deserves a room.

  • i

fnarchitects.ae is registered. It resolves to nothing.

  • ii

The last press feature ran in 2020.

  • iii

The juries and clients now circling the practice check published work before they call. The search comes back nearly empty.

02 · The direction

The defining works,
given room.

Scope

Two ways to build it, scoped in full. The recommendation has not changed.

Recommended

Option A

The Monograph

AED 25,000

Ten to fifteen defining works, each given a full page. Homepage, practice profile, contact. Designed from zero, no template. A CMS the studio can edit without calling anyone. Arabic-ready.

14–20 days50% to begin · 50% at launch

Option B

The Archive

AED 90,000

The full record, phased over one to two months. Priced for reference. It is not the right first step.

1–2 monthsPhased

03 · The plan

Twenty days, in plain sight.

Scroll and the commission runs ahead of you, day by day. The panel beside it is the production board. The link you are reading now becomes it the morning we begin, and from then on it shows the true state of the work: what is finished, and who holds the next move. Farid never has to ask.

Day

00

The yes

A reply in the group. The first invoice follows, and a one-page selection sheet with it. The clock starts when the selected projects and photography access are in hand.

Days 1–7 · Two directions

Two design directions built from the selected works, presented in the group before the week ends. Both are real pages that scroll, so the choice is made on the thing itself.

Day 7 · The hour

One call. Farid picks a direction, confirms the works, and tells us where the line sits on the private projects. That is the hour.

Days 8–14 · The build

Pages land on the board one by one as they finish. Anyone in the group can look in at any point, so there is no curtain moment at day twenty.

Days 15–20 · The finish

The copy is set, the Arabic structure is in place, and every screen size gets checked. The domain goes live quietly, with no announcement until Farid wants one.

Note The dates hold as long as the two dependencies arrive on time. If something slips, the board says so the same day, and it says whose move it is.

04 · What you receive

Inside the monograph.

  • Ten to fifteen project pages

Each defining work given a full page: large photography, the story of the project in two paragraphs, and credits written the way they should read.

  • The homepage

The practice in one screen. A visitor understands the work before reading a word.

  • The practice profile

The first written profile of the practice that exists anywhere, drafted by us, corrected by Farid, published under his name.

  • The CMS

Add a project, change a line, swap an image. The studio does it in minutes, without calling anyone. We set it up; you own it.

  • Arabic, prepared

The structure is bilingual from day one. An Arabic edition slots in whenever the practice wants one.

  • fnarchitects.ae, awake

The domain finally answers. Hosting, launch, and the technical setup are all inside the commission.

The standard

Original material studies from the July proposal. The standard for every page of the monograph is the one in this image: a groove cut clean, and light that shows it.

05 · What we need

We need three things from your side.

  1. One

The shortlist of works, chosen from the selection sheet we send on day zero.

  2. Two

Access to the photography of those works.

  3. Three

One hour of Farid's time, on day seven.

06 · After launch

Custodianship.

AED 1,000 / month

Hosting, the domain, updates, and new project pages as the work arrives. The board stays live after launch: send the photographs in the group and the new project is up within the week. The site stays exact.

Reply in the group.

One message starts it. The selection sheet arrives the same day, two design directions follow inside the first week, and this page starts keeping score.
